History
Peninsula was founded in 1983, by Peter Done, who is the owner and group managing director. The company is based at the Peninsula Building in Manchester and employs 759 people.
Peninsula was started as a result of Betfred having to pay out £11,000 at an employment tribunal, due to what the Done brothers perceived to be a lack of legal support.
Peter Done is as also the co-founder, with his brother Fred Done, of the high street betting chain Betfred.
In 2015 Peninsula bought Croner group from Wolters Kluwer to increase its reach in the corporate and software sectors.
